I’m no expert when it comes to Youtube, having only just started this year and currently on hiatus since moving into my new, busy, noisy office. That being said I have learnt some tips and tricks the hard way so here’s my very much beginners guide to youtube to give you a leg up on things you need to remember when you’re creating your own youtube channel.
Doing youtube on your phone? Use a cheap but effective lighting rig. I’d deffo say that lighting and sound are your biggest priorities – youtube videos can easily be shot on a phone without an expensive camera but a good mic will reduce hissing and lighting will give you consistency that natural light just can’t (unless you’re shooting outside).
