You’ve heard the phrase, ‘live your best life?’ It’s a common saying now, but what does it mean and how can you do this? It’s quite simple really; it means living life in the best way you can, being the best version of yourself and here are a few ways you can do that:

Be Positive About Yourself

Don’t say things to yourself like, “I could never do that.”; “I’ll look stupid and weird if I wear that.” “I could never get away with a nose ring.” Try to silence that negative voice inside your head and instead put a positive spin on things. You can start by eliminating negative vocabulary, such as always, can’t, never (and ever), won’t, but, should, and try. As Yoda would say, “Do or do not. There is no try.” and remember that you can do it, think of all the things you have achieved already – you can do it.

Forget Your Fear Of Failing

Do you worry about what other people think? Do you ever not do anything on because you’re worried about failing? There is a condition called atychiphobia, which is the medical term for fear of failure. Failure is a natural part of life and something that the most successful people have experienced. Don’t be afraid of it; it makes you stronger, helps you learn and is absolutely fine, so don’t worry about failing.

Many people are also afraid of success, what will happen if they actually get there? What happens then? Will there be more responsibility and raised expectations? Remember that progress is a good thing and something you deserve. Stay authentic and remember who you are. Don’t try to please everyone; it won’t happen, just be comfortable yourself and the decisions you make.

Work Out In The Mornings

Starting the day doing some exercise, will give you more energy, your health will be better for it, and you’ll likely have improved mental awareness, clarity and self-esteem. Exercise is not just about losing weight or toning up. No one ever regrets doing a workout; getting up and getting active is the best way to start the day. 

Practice Gratitude

Every morning when you wake up or at night before you go to bed, write down three things that you’re grateful for that day. Just try it, because it will make you feel much happier. Where’s the harm in giving it a go? It takes no time at all and soon you’ll realize the benefits. 

Don’t Criticise Or Judge Others

To live your best life, you should be aware of your thoughts and feelings and try getting rid of negative thoughts and energy. Thinking negative thoughts and feeling negativity towards others, doesn’t help anyone and only brings you down. Remember that nice people do get rewarded and ultimately, you will achieve more than those who are selfish and unhappy with the world. Stay away from criticizing and judging others, don’t assume anything; know that situations are not always about you, and if you put yourself in their shoes to see the situation from their perspective things may become a little clearer for you.
