Marco Pierre White Steakhouse at Hotel Indigo | Scouse Bird Blogs

I’d been dying to try out the new Marco Pierre White steakhouse since it’s had it’s amazing new makeover and as always, it doesn’t disappoint. Gone is the cool, stark, all-white interior and instead it’s full of dark wood, teal and copper furnishings and Escher style floors. It’s so much more warm and inviting. The menus are adorned with pictures of a young Macro Pierre White looking more like Jack Savoretti than Vigo The Carpathian. Less weird crush more oh helllo 😍

It’s been almost a year now since I eloped to New York and got married in secret and we were there to celebrate our anniversary. Gorgeous little touches like a free glass of prosecco (which is so nice we HAD to get the whole bottle) and customised desserts meant we felt super special.

Sticky toffee pudding

Being a steak house, it’s famous for its steak and with good reason; it’s proper melt in your mouth stuff. The calamari and prawn cocktail starters come with lemon wrapped in gauze – which is so simple, but such a good idea! No lemon pips in your scran.

MPW was brilliant before, but, excuse the food pun, the new look interior is really just the icing on the cake.
