After seeing Elliott from Revive Hypnosis last year and being able to conquer my fear of wooden things (that is totally a real thing – xylophobia) after one session and my ex was able to quit smoking after one session, I wanted to see what else he could do. I sent my mate Lizzy to see him who’d tried everything she could to lose weight. Here’s what she thought:
“I’ve always had a love hate relationship with food. I love to eat but hate putting weight on. I can’t control myself when it comes to eating, it’s like I’m unable to get full. I know it seems like an easy process to lose weight… eat less and exercise more, but it seemed impossible for me to eat less and I’m pretty sure I’m allergic to exercise and addicted to food. I’ve never been truly happy with my body, I’ve always been the fat mate that has to wear 7 pairs of spanx on a night out. Sigh. I’m in a constant battle with the love of food and wanting to be skinny, but of course food wins every time. When I heard about Elliott at Revive Hypnosis using suggestion therapy to help weight loss, I was beyond excited so sorted out my first session.
Before going to Elliott’s house, he called me to find out about my eating habits, what I eat daily and my problems basically. Asking me what I eat is a hard question, it’d probably be easier to ask me what I don’t eat. And the answer is, anything healthy. I went to Elliott’s house not knowing what to expect from my first session, and I was very surprised at how relaxed I was. Elliott made me feel at ease straight away and I sat down so we could discuss more about what we had previously spoken on the phone. I explained that I can’t stick to dieting as I love food too much, and I just haven’t got the motivation. He basically told me he could fix me.
The first session was amazing. I’ve honestly never been so relaxed in my life. I was completely aware of everything Elliott was saying to me and felt like my body wasn’t even mine. I felt like a new person afterwards. I went home and instead of picking up a can of coke like usual, I decided to make myself a glass of water. I HATE water, so it was to my surprise that I actually enjoyed it. It didn’t make sense to me and I got all weirded out. That night, my Mum was trying to see if it really worked, by offering to cook all my favourite, fatty, unhealthy foods. The cow. That was the first time I’ve ever turned down that offer. I noticed that I was getting full quickly with small portions and when I’d finished I didn’t want seconds. I preferred water to any fizzy drink and that was a massive thing for me because I’m used to drinking 3 or 4 cans of coke a day.
The second session was even better. I felt even more relaxed and totally comfortable around Elliott, and he told me he could definitely see a difference in me. I had lost 10lbs in 3 weeks and that’s without exercise! I felt like a much better person and didn’t feel ravenous 24/7 like I did before. Even Nando’s defeated me and I couldn’t finish my meal – that’s never happened before! “
