The sunshine is finally here and you know what that means? Festival season! WOOOOOO!
If you’ve still not decided which one you’re heading to this year, or indeed if you’ve never been at all, then might I recommend V Fest.
Not only is it smack bang in the middle of August (19th-20th) when you’ve got the very best chance of good weather, but it’s alway when most people’s hayfever symptoms have started to cool off – so if it’s the thought of spending a weekend up close and personal with some pollen then V Fest is pretty allergy friendly.
The line up is also geared more towards the mainstream than other festivals, so with massive acts like Justin Bieber in the past, there’s bound to be someone you’re dying to see.
Here’s who I’m looking forward to seeing this year:
Jay-Z
I actually saw him years ago when Drake was nought more than his Young Money support act, so it was a double whammy. He’s massive and apart from being Queen Bey’s baby daddy, he’s had some absolute bangers.
Jack Savoretti
He’s possibly the most underrated guy ever. I first saw him at V Fest on one of the small stages a couple of years ago and now I can sing every word to every one of his songs. His gravelly voice and damn good looking face are deffo worth seeing. Swear down, honest to god, not even messin.
Emile Sande
Even if just to ask her where the hell she went?
Dizzee Rascal
Bonkers was my actual jam back in the day.
George Ezra
Last time I was at V I fell asleep during his set. Turns out I was only bloody pregnant wasn’t I? So it would be boss to actually see his set this time!
Sean Paul, Pink and Busted are deffo on my list too!
