5 Fab Winter Boots You'll Adore | Scouse Bird Blogs

You might be a winter hater and firmly in the bank of #TeamSummer, but one thing you can’t deny, that unless you’re a size 6 and enjoy living life in nothing but a bikini, winter fashion is well better. And far more forgiving.

Big furry coats, layers (oh so many flab hiding layers), thick scarves and of course cute headwear – winter is fashion’s friend. Every outfit needs some killer footwear though, and winter is all about the boots. All hail the glorious boots. Here’s 5 pairs that are just FAB.

5 Fab Winter Boots You’ll Adore

These Scotia suede boots in ‘rosette’ are the ultimate girly boot. The ultra wide laces are almost ribbon-like and the gorgeous pink colour will match any rosy hued outfit. The block heel means you’ll be able to take them from shopping with the girls to drinks and dancing and won’t need to make an emergency trip to Boots for party feet and blister plasters.

If there’s one thing you have to have to pull these boots off, it’s confidence. That and a tan. So two things really. The adjustable laces not only make the Huanalela boots (try saying that after a few proseccos) ooze sex appeal but it also means you won’t be oozing any leg fat because they’re totally adjustable; perfect if your legs are normally too thin or too fat for knee boots. Team with an LBD and dare to ditch the tights.

I suspect that when Nancy Sinatra sang “And one of these days these boots are going to walk all over you…” these are the exact pair she had in mind. Sexy yet subtle, comfortable but commanding, the Dimitra are the perfect knee-high boots to add to your wardrobe. Whether you dress them up for a night out with some fishnets and an oversized band tee, or go for a more casual winter day look by teaming them with jeans and cosy jumper, the lace-up heels are ideal for completing a showstopping outfit whatever the occasion. The platform block heel means you don’t need to worry about your feet burning and leaving you feeling like you’re walking on glass after a few hours and the lace up construction allows you to adjust the fit of the boot. Ignore your dad’s comments about them being a bit ‘Pretty Woman’ – Hooker boots are in and are going nowhere.

We’ve all done the casual boots in brown or black and there’s nothing wrong with that – they’re wardrobe staples for every girl (along with at least 10 dresses you’re going to diet into one day…). The Naressa in grey is another take on the every day boot and it contrasts perfectly against your super opaque 18 million denier winter tights. The contrast block heel means you can wear them anywhere and anyway – from crisp country walks on a Sunday (feeling hangover free and holier than thou) or on an accidental piss up in town (I only went to meet me mate for a coffee!).

While Victoria Beckham declared she only ever wore heels, claiming she ‘cannot concentrate in flats’ us mere mortals know the struggles of having to run for the bus in six inch stilettos so have to don a pair of flats every now and again. When it’s freezing cold, and pouring down with rain, the last thing you want is to have your toes curling up from the sub zero temperatures and walking into the office with soggy ballet pumps on that will leave you uncomfortable all day. Invest in some cute ankle boots that will also take you from the office to the bar and also ensure your feet stay nice and warm all day long. This may sound like Mum Advice but you’ll be grateful when you can sneak a pair of fluffy socks on and have toasty toes all day without your style being compromised.  Sabel – These brown beauties, are a break from the boring, bland standard black ankle boots and will ensure your outfit looks chic and classic; whether you’re at your desk or running errands.

All the boots are available from Just Fab (aptly) and considering you can get your first pair of shoes from them for £9 (no that’s not a typo) I bet you’re about to lose hours on their site…

You heard Nancy, get walking.

XOXO
