On the lead-up to Christmas, there is a general increase in people indulging in the simple pleasures.
This often coincides with a sharp spike in hearing the words “it’d be rude not to” from people trying to suggest they’d otherwise turn down a Ferrero Rocher out of politeness.
“Ooh it’d be rude not to!” – It really wouldn’t
However, top Scouse etiquetticians have revealed that in 99.9% of cases, it actually would NOT be rude not to.
The example given in the released statement was if you see someone post a Facebook status saying, “Cheeky Prosecco with the girls? It’d be rude not to!”, there is only a 1 in 1,000 chance of it actually being rude not to.
The other 999 times they’re just being a greedy bastard.
