“I’m not being funny but I wasn’t being funny”
A woman from Tuebrook is reportedly astonished to have been found funny, despite having prefaced what she said with “I’m not being funny, but…”.
Caitlyn, 22, was appalled to find the audience of her anecdote in hysterics, even though the event described wasn’t supposed to be funny in the slightest.
“Can you even believe it though?” queried Caitlyn, “I’m not being funny, but if you say ‘I’m not being funny’, then you’re not being funny”.
Questioning her friends, the majority claimed that ‘Caitlyn’s never been one to be funny, not being funny’.
This is the most recent in a similar string of events happening across the city, following on from when a Dingle man said “I wouldn’t have minded, but…” when the chances are he would actually have minded.
